CUETZALAN, PUEBLA. MEXICO. Cuetzalan is a magical village, almost untouched by the modern world, that is steadily moving towards sustainability and autonomy. It is located in the state of Puebla (183 km), just a few hours from Mexico City (300 km), in a cloud forest.

WHAT IS A COOPERATIVE? A cooperative is an autonomous association of people that organize voluntarily to satisfy and improve their economic, social and cultural common needs, through a business that is owned as a group and that is controlled democratically, every partner could be the director at some point.

BEHIND A CUP OF COFFEE Behind a cup of Tosepan's Coffee are the efforts of indigenous farmers, that are members of The Tosepan Titataniske Cooperative, in the northern mountainous region of Puebla, Mexico.   

WHAT IS PERMACULTURE? Permaculture is an approach to designing human settlements and agricultural systems that mimic the relationships found in natural ecologies.
